Outpawtient
Delete your account and data
Effective 16 September 2026
This page is about the Outpawtient app: how to delete your account together with the whole archive, and how to delete part of your data without touching the account.
Deletion is irreversible. You can export the archive at any time, subscription or not — do that first if you want to keep the records.
Deleting your account from the app
1. Open Outpawtient and sign in to your account.
2. Settings → “Delete account and data”.
3. Tap “Create request” and confirm it.
4. After confirmation you have a week to change your mind: nothing is erased until that week is over, and the request can be cancelled in the same screen. When the week passes, the deletion is carried out.
Deleting your account without the app
If you have already removed the app, write to [email protected] from the email address the account is registered to and say that you ask for your Outpawtient account to be deleted. We answer within a month, usually sooner.
The product has no password: sign-in works with a one-time code sent by email, so a message from your own address is what confirms the request is yours.
Deleting part of your data without deleting the account
These are deleted inside the app: a single document, a pet card, a weight entry, a medication, a vaccination, a timeline note, a reminder, a trip, and a vet or sitter link. Look for “Delete” on the entry you want gone.
If email is easier, write to [email protected] and name what should be removed.
What is deleted
The account itself and its membership in families.
If you are the only owner of a family — the family itself with its whole archive: the pet cards (names, species, breed, dates, chip numbers, weight, diagnoses, medications, vaccinations), uploaded documents and the files themselves — photos and clinic forms together with the values extracted from them automatically — the timeline, reminders, trips and checklist state, invitations, and vet and sitter links. This includes what the other members of that family added.
If the family has a second owner — the family and its whole archive stay with them, and only your membership is removed. Your name disappears from the entries you made: the entry stays, its author becomes empty.
The family invitations and the vet and sitter links you issued are revoked: they no longer let anyone join the family or open the archive. A vet’s open page stops working at once.
Database rows are erased in a single operation; the files are removed by a background service on its next pass, usually within minutes.
What is kept, and for how long
A record of the erasure itself — its date, the number of deleted entries and internal identifiers. It holds no names, no addresses and no document content; it exists so the deletion can be proven. Kept indefinitely.
The row of the “account deleted” email, with the address it was sent to — up to 30 days after sending, then deleted automatically.
A copy of the email at the mail provider we send through (Resend). We have not verified from their documentation how long they keep delivery logs, so we name no period here.
Database backups. Supabase takes them once a day; as of 16 September 2026 eight copies are kept, which is a depth of about eight days. Data does not return into the product from them on its own, but a disaster recovery of the database could bring an entry back within that window.
Unfinished sign-ins — a Google or Apple sign-in abandoned halfway: the sign-in code and the tokens those services issued. Such a record holds no email address. Kept up to one day.
The internal device-synchronisation log — up to 90 days, and only for a family that stays. For a deleted family it is erased together with it.
Subscription and payment events — the subscriber identifier and the facts of purchases and refunds. Kept as long as the stores’ accounting and tax rules require. We hold no payment details at all: payment happens entirely inside the App Store and Google Play.
Correspondence with support, if there was any, in the [email protected] mailbox.
Deleting an Outpawtient account does not cancel a subscription: subscriptions belong to the App Store and Google Play — cancel yours in the store’s settings.
